Our team

Donna Speegle was born and raised in Monteagle, Tennessee, and resides in LaFayette, Georgia. She is a retired educator, having worked 31 years for the Walker County Board of Education. Being a part of Unified in Recovery holds a very dear place in Donna's heart: it restored the lives of her daughter and son-in-law, who struggled with addiction for close to a decade, and helped her family heal and mend relationships that addiction had destroyed.

Donna is excited about her new role as CEO of Unified in Recovery and is passionate about giving back to the organization that brought her family back together. By serving as CEO, she wants to help bring other families the opportunity to rebuild and restore their relationships with loved ones who have struggled or are struggling with addiction. Donna firmly believes that surrounding yourself and your family with people who understand and have been where you are is vital to building a stronger community with a network of peers working together. Her hope is to show others that you can enjoy life in recovery — because recovery is possible, and life after addiction is real.

Jennifer was born in North Carolina and raised in LaFayette, Georgia. She has been active in the recovery community for many years, most recently serving as a Residential Manager for the women's program at Providence Women's Recovery in Dalton, Georgia. Jennifer is very excited about her new role as Community Outreach Director for Unified in Recovery, where she can pour into others and help them on their recovery journey as well.

As a committed member of Unified in Recovery, Jennifer uses her testimony as a path for others new in recovery, and she firmly believes that without God, she would not be where she is today. Jennifer has two daughters, Ella Rose and Harper Jo. Her daughters are her biggest motivation in recovery, with Ella Rose being a never-ending source of support and encouragement. Her mission is to be the light for others — which strengthens her own journey in recovery as well.
