Improving internal links can help improve search engine rankings. The larger the site, more optimization can help Google identify relevant pages. An ecommerce website has a category page, a product page and a copy of these pages. A good practice for e-commerce is to make Googlebot’s path to the relevant pages-the useful pages. In doing so, the search engine uses robots.txt, canonical markup, and nofollow. But these methods are like deviations. Direct links are better. For example, if I’m looking for a whatsapp phone number list food category page to rank better, I’ll value internal links from pages rich in dog food -related copy. But if the site is large, how can we identify contact pages? Ability to connect internally It starts with a web crawler. Sitebulb, Screaming Frog, and DeepCrawl are the three I know best. For this post I will use Screaming Frog because of its popularity. Step 1. Identify the pages you want the internal links to point to. Say, for example, that Guitar Center, a retailer, wants the Nylon Strings category page to be higher. (I have no connection to Guitar Center except as a customer.) Perhaps nylon strings have a better edge, and the company will benefit from more organic search results. Improving its internal linking system could be a powerful sign for Google. But we need to crawl the entire site to take note of the contact pages.
